About Comforting Hope
Dr. Jamie Gavin is the President of Comforting Hope, a private not-for-profit corporation 501(c)(3) application pending. Dr. Gavin also provides Christian counseling through a private for-profit corporation, Environmentalists Incorporated. Both businesses are now operating out of the same office. Linda Jacobson manages both the office of Comforting Hope and the office of Dr. Gavin as a volunteer. Other volunteers provide support through:
- Facilitating Christian 12 step groups affiliated with Comforting Hope ministries
- Providing training
- Peer support or counseling
- Engaging in film productions
- Membership in the Board of Directors
Do you have someone in your church struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, or other debilitating repetitive behaviors (with food, sex, substances, finances and/or co-dependency)? Help your church by contacting us for training to provide a more complete ministry.
A disclosure statement regarding Dr. Gavin's practice and his resume are available. Environmentalists Inc. pays rents and utilities, and 10% of revenues generated by Environmentalists Incorporated through the counseling services of Dr. Gavin are paid to Comforting Hope for secretarial support and billing. Dr. Gavin, through Environmentalists Incorporated, offers fee-for-service counseling to couples and individuals in crisis. He is a general mental health practitioner, providing counseling for children, teens and adults. He is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. His Bible-based counseling follows a cognitive behavioral model, informed by attachment theory. For references or to refer those in need, please call us.
